Blake is a Washington State Certified Marriage and Family Therapist, and qualified Chemical Dependency Counselor, who began his career counseling perpetrators and survivors of sexual abuse. While studying at Loma Linda University, he counseled students with school, personal, career choice or relationship problems, and also provided premarital counseling. Blake trained in biofeedback at the Biofeedback Institute of Los Angeles, and spent nearly five years in southern California working with incarcerated youth involved in sexual abuse, fire setting, substance abuse, gangs, and incorrigible behavior. Under the direction of a Certified Sex Therapist, he worked with adult and juvenile males with sexual issues. In his work, Blake focuses on building life skills. His work in substance abuse and addictions is based on Rational Emotive Therapy rather than the traditional "12 step" models. He received his Master's degree in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling from Loma Linda University, his Bachelor's degree in Family Sciences from Brigham Young University, and is currently near completion of a Doctorate in Psychology from United States International University.
