Carol is a Registered Nurse with American Nursing Association specialty certification in psychiatric and mental health nursing. She also holds a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Washington with emphasis on adult and "older adult" issues. Carol has twenty-five years of clinical experience working with persons raised in alcoholic families, survivors of childhood abuse, victims of "spiritual abuse" in church or home, and patients living with chronic mental illness. Her areas of expertise include psychotropic medications, chronic pain, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, panic attacks, anger management, bipolar disorders, and schizophrenia. Carol's unique combination of training and experience enable her to bridge the gap which frequently exists between the medical and social models of diagnosis and treatment.
