Cory received his Bachelors of Arts in sociology and psychology from Wilkes University in 2002 and received his Masters in Counseling Psychology from Marywood University in 2005. Currently, he is pursuing his Doctorate in psychology. Cory is also a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and next year will receive his Professional Counselor license. He is also certified as a secondary school counselor and has extensive training with Applied Behavior Analysis and Verbal Behavior. Cory has worked extensively with children, adolescents and families treating such problems as PTSD, bereavement, depression, parent-child relational problems, Asperger's/Autism, Oppositional Defiant disorder, Conduct Disorder, Personality Disorders, AD/HD, trauma, sibling conflict, emotional problems and issues in the school setting. In addition to working with children and their families, Cory also practices individual therapy with children and adolescents and educates parents within a psych-educational setting. He is currently employed as a behavioral consultant to local area schools in northeast Pennsylvania and also works as a children's therapist at a community mental health center. Cory's philosophy of therapy is an eclectic approach whereby the client determines the direction that the therapy takes. |
