Gail DiBernardo is a Washington state certified social worker with a Master’s degree in Social Work from St. Louis University. For the past 17 years, she has worked as an individual and family counselor in agency settings including a domestic violence shelter and a treatment center for chemical dependency and mental illness. Currently, she works in her private practice. Gail believes in the healing power of telling your story to an empathic, respectful listener. This is a natural and positive way for all of us to get beyond old patterns and live more fully and contentedly in the present. Gail uses eclectic therapy techniques geared toward your individual needs. She supports you with complete attention as feelings come up and as you explore creative solutions to your life challenges. Her specialties include depression and anxiety, panic attacks, work place issues, emotional abuse, domestic violence, and grief and loss (including pet loss). With expertise in “mind-body” illnesses, she has guided many to an understanding of the root causes of their psycho-somatic back pain and stomach ailments. She is also available to help writers get beyond even the most stubborn and long-standing writer’s block and achieve their goals.
