Helen is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a private practice in St Petersburg, Florida. She recieved her BA (1987) in Psychology from Binghamton University in New York, and her MA (1989) in Clinical Psychology from the University of Hartford in Connecticut. In her 16 years of experience, she has worked in psychiatric day treatment and partial hospital programs, a homeless and transitional living shelter for families and in research conducting diagnostic interviews. Helen's areas of expertise include, but are not limited to: anxiety, depression, anger, abuse and relationship issues. Helen provides an eclectic approach to her counseling as she believes all people do not fit into one mold. We all have our unique make-up and our own unique challenges in life. Sometimes a change in the way we view and assess a situation is helpful, sometimes there are things unconsciously preventing us from moving forward and sometimes bad things just happen! Helen strives to provide caring, compassionate counseling and is looking forward to guiding you on your path toward a new direction for your life. |
