Margaret Andem is a licensed clinical social worker and Registered Nurse practicing in Marianna, Florida. She received her Masters in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania in 1999, was licensed as a social worker that year, and was licensed as a clinical social worker in 2003. Before she received her Masters, Margaret served as an intake worker and research technician for an outpatient drug and alcohol facility at the University of Pennsylvania. Since receiving her degree, she has worked with several agencies including the Consortium, Holcomb Behavioral Health Systems, Family Service Association of Bucks County, WES Health Centers, Resources for Human Development, and TACCT (running anger management groups) in the Philadelphia, PA area and Florida Therapy Services and Salus Behavioral Heath (providing therapy to nursing home residents) in the Marianna, FL area. Margaret provides individual, couples, family and group therapy for adolescents and adults of varying race and socioeconomic status. She currently operates her own private practice and also works with Faith Health Clinic (providing free counseling services to patients at this free clinic) and Resources for Human Development (providing services in their employee assistance program). As an African-American woman and a first generation Nigerian-American, Margaret is especially sensitive to cultural issues. Her focus in working with clients is to help them gain and maintain control in their lives despite past or present issues.
