Michelle is practicing in New Jersey as a Nationally Certified Counselor. She received her Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Eastern University in 2000. She then went on immediately to pursue her Master's degree in community clinical counseling from Eastern and graduated in 2003. During her time in school, Michelle worked in a medical day care center, where she worked with clients of all ages and a large range of mental disorders. During her internship in graduate school, she conducted individual therapy with couples, young and older adults. After graduating, Michelle spent a number of years working in the school systems with children and families. During this time, she provided resources, training and counseling to children, teens, young adults, parents, couples and family units. Her work consisted of anger management, behavioral issues, self esteem, depression, anxiety, social skills, ADD and ADHD, separation and divorce, grief and loss, communication skills, parenting skills, parenting classes, and relationship skills. Michelle's approaches for treatment are integrative and collective. These approaches include play therapy, cognitive therapy, BSBT, behavioral therapy, reality therapy, parenting skills, like skills, individual therapy, family therapy, couples therapy, and group therapy. |
