Michael is licensed as a Social Work Associate through the Texas State Board of Social Workers. In 2003, he also became a Registered Counselor in Washington State, where theCounselors.com headquarters are located. He attended the University of Texas for three years, then went back to school later in his career to complete a Bachelor's degree in psychology from Thomas Edison State University. Michael is currently working on his Juris Doctorate degree at BAU School of Law. He served as a Case Manager for the chronically mentally ill at Tarrant County Mental Health in Fort Worth, Texas, and worked with troubled youth at Keller High School. Michael also worked with the Veteran's Administration in Program Development and with the J.T.P.A., (Jobs Training Partnership Act), serving as a board member for the J.T.P.A., initiating a program which extended funding to double the population previously served. In 1992, Michael was Certified in Analytical Hypnotherapy and became a trainer for the American Psychotherapy and Medical Hypnosis Association. In 1994, he became Certified in Trauma Resolution. From 1992 to 1997, Michael was a staff therapist for PMH Counseling Associates in Bedford, Texas, working with relationships, abuse, trauma, social anxiety, shyness, and performance anxiety. He is married with one daughter, and believes in a caring, non-judgmental approach to assist someone in reaching their life goals. Michael enjoys helping his clients identify their strengths, and uses text-based hypnosis when appropriate to help identify and overcome negative thinking patterns.
