Marguerite "Peggy" Widener is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of North Carolina. She received her Masters Degree from Columbia University, and has been working in the mental health field for the last 11 years. She has experience working with various populations with a variety of problems. Her work experience has included employment in psychiatric hospitals, community mental health centers, schools, and domestic violence prevention programs. Marguerite has provided therapy to children and families as well as to individuals and couples. She has also worked closely with the military community, providing clinical services to families, for the past 6 years. She is very sensitive to the unique challenges that this population faces as she has experienced them first hand as well. Marguerite is open minded, nonjudgmental and ready to assist you with your needs. Areas that she has a great amount of experience with include, but are not limited to, depression, self esteem, family problems, marital/couples issues, parenting issues, anxiety, suicide, grief and loss, separation/divorce, assertiveness training and anger issues.
