Philip is a Washington State Licensed Mental Health Counselor who has worked with individuals, couples, groups, and families for more than twenty years. He calls himself a "humanistic psychologist" because he values ALL human experience, and he does not view the world in terms of what is "wrong" with any individual, group, or society. Philip is open to examining issues related to religion, spirituality, or sexuality - and any other topic! He has worked effectively with a broad range of clients, from those with severe mental health disorders to people simply seeking to enhance their personal growth and creativity. Philip holds "black belts" in both judo and jiu-jitsiu, finding an extensive study of the martial arts affords him a mature, gentle approach to conflict resolution. In workshops or trainings, he is an energetic, engaging, and enjoyable presenter. Philip is nearing completion of his Ph.D. in Psychology at Saybrook Graduate School in San Francisco, California, where he is currently researching childhood spirituality.
