Shari is a Wisconsin Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and an Illinois Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) who has extensive experience working with individuals, groups, couples, and families. She earned her Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from Benedictine University, where the prominent perspective was client centered therapy. She has worked with several different client populations including couples with marriage difficulties, adults struggling with depression, anxiety, and other life adjustment issues, physically and sexually abused children, children with mental health issues related to school, home, adjustment, or mental illness, and even children and adults on the verge of suicide. In working with these children, Shari has gained vast experience in family dynamics and she feels it is important to focus on the whole system, especially when a child is involved. She currently maintains a private practice in Rockford, Illinois. Shari has also been trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and she feels many adults and children could greatly benefit from learning these skills.
