Hello, my name is Steve, and I'm very grateful that you've decided to
visit me in my office. I want you to know that what ever your problems
may be, I'm here to help you. I won't pretend to have all of the answers
to what might be troubling you, but I am a great helper! I do have a
wealth of professional training and experience which is listed for you
to look at so that you can feel confident that I am qualified to help
you. However, this site is about you, and it was created for you! This
is a wonderful format where you can deal with whatever is troubling you
in complete anonymity. Here you have the time to "think out" your
problems and express them just the way you want them expressed. My job
will be to listen carefully, and to make sure that you are heard. I
believe that if you can "feel understood" that healing is already

Professional Experience: Currently working full time at Youth & Family
Renewal Services in Idaho Falls Idaho as a Family Therapist. I was
previously a Program Manager in a youth detention center that
specializes in gang issues and alcohol and drug problems. Owner of his
own
psycho-social rehabilitation business that works with children and youth
up to age 18 called "Firm Foundations". Is currently a Licensed Marriage
&
Family Therapist in the state of Idaho License #6. Previously, worked as
the Emergency Mental Health Supervisor in Colorado for 5 years for the
San Luis Valley Mental Health Center. Was a private practice clinician
providing individual, couples, and mental health counseling services.
Was the Program Director for an inpatient psychiatric hospital in Kansas
City in the early 90's. Provided in-home family therapy in Missouri for
the C-Star Program which is a teen alcohol and drug program. Was
previously licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of
Colorado # 2305.
Education: B.S. Degree in Psychology/Rehabilitation from Central
Missouri State University in 1985., M.A. Degree in Counseling from
Liberty University in Virginia in 1991.
