Terry Chase is a Certified Professional Counselor and
a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner. Terry received her Master’s of
Science in Education from Wayne State College in 1995. She immediately
began working through a grant from the Iowa Department of Public Health
in an outpatient based substance abuse facility, specializing in the
treatment of Pathological Gambling. Many of those referrals to services
came as a result of desperate attempts to solve gambling problems by
ending their life. Much of that work included work with substance abuse
problems, programs and prisoners. Ten years later Terry began work in an
outpatient based Community Mental Health Clinic serving chronic and
severe Mental Health issues such as Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar
Disorders, Anxiety, Schizophrenia, ADHD and other disorders of
Childhood. Terry’s approach to counseling is non-judgmental and a belief
that individuals are the best experts at knowing what they need, and
when they can be heard they are more likely to make changes, choices and
get on with the business of living. Terry has been married for twenty
one years and has two children and two grandchildren. |
