Vicki is a Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC, in Minnesota and Wisconsin. She is a National Certified Counselor, NCC, as well as a member of the American Counseling Association, ACA, Wisconsin Counseling Association, WCA, and the Minnesota Association for Counseling Development, MACD. She is a Certified Psychosocial Rehabilitation Practitioner, CPRP, and a member of Phi Sigma Iota, a National Honor Society. Vicki has a Master of Science Degree in Education with an emphasis in Family and Marriage Counseling, Individual, and Chemical Dependency Counseling. She also has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Art Therapy. Vicki's theoretical orientation is Cognitive Behavioral and Interpersonal. She enjoys combining art therapy with counseling to enhance the lives of her clients. She believes that "Art is a creative way to enhance therapy and discovery." Vicki has worked with the serious and persistent mentally ill adults, children with emotional disorders, families, couples, and individuals for over 8 years. She has worked in the field of chemical dependency and addiction for over 25 years, as she is a recovering alcoholic herself. She lives in a remote wooded area "up north" with her husband, cats and a dog. She loves nature and wildlife. She is an artist. Her medium is clay, glass, silver art clay, and beads. She also enjoys painting from time to time.
